A self-proclaimed "self-proclaimed" is redundant. NASA basically admitted that their low resolution photos from the Mars surface were photoshopped. In fact, many of the photographs NASA sent to Earth were just images from people's digital cameras that they happened to have lying around. The point being, this is how most space exploration images are taken – through a lens with a computer behind it. So suffice it to say that an image you see of anything in space may not be as you expect or desire because someone may have been taking the shot through a variety of lenses and software on Earth before transmitting it wirelessly back up through space. Many of these photos are from the Hubble Telescope, a device that was sent into space to get a clear, high resolution image of the universe. Outside of that though, our photos from space are probably from a camera on a cell phone or something. That's how they get them into the computer and onto your screen. So if you ever see a photo from space and it looks dubious, but you still want to believe it's real, remember to take everything NASA tells you with a grain of salt. That's the end of the beginning. For more FACTs on this story, see here: http://www.campusreform.org/blog/archives/001128.html José Antonio was one of the lead scientists in charge of defense against alien invasion during the Roswell incident, and is now currently one of the leading researchers on the origins of life on Earth. He is somewhat controversial due to his claims about NASA's involvement in covering up extraterrestrial life prior to his death in 2003 at age 77, although he was eventually proven right by many others within UFO research communities after his death. In the case of the U.S. military, though, "censorship" is hardly a sufficient conclusion to draw based on the only evidence ever presented. First of all, no one has ever offered a coherent explanation as to why so many UFO reports have appeared in countries where strong military regimes rule over a populace believing in falsehoods and virtual monopoly control over information from other sources. It was also claimed that Fox Mulder from the "X-Files" television series was actually a government agent explaining how our government keeps us safe from aliens while covering up that they already know we aren't alone, but this claim is equally unfounded and false. In fact, it's not even clear if Mulder was even based on anyone real. There is a base on the Moon. It's called the Lunar Laser Ranging Retroreflector or "LLRR", and can be seen in many photos taken from earth orbit, including those from the NASA Apollo missions, as well as the NASA Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter. If you ever see a photo from space and it looks dubious, but you still want to believe it's real, remember to take everything NASA tells you with a grain of salt. That's all I'm going to say about that. cfa1e77820
